et-over-oceanThis is the lab of Eric A Treml, Lecturer in Marine Biology in the School of BioSciences at the University of Melbourne,  Australia. Our broad research interests are in marine ecology and conservation, specifically in understanding the causes and consequences of population connectivity, implications for biodiversity and assisting in local-to-global conservation/management prioritisation. Along with field and lab research, we use a variety of tools, including geographic information systems (GIS), high performance computing (HPC), spatially-explicit dynamic modelling (e.g., MATLAB), spatial statistics (R), network analysis (R, Pajek), programming (AML, Python), oceanographic modelling/data (e.g., ROMS, HYCOM, ADCIRC), and remote sensing data.
